Randy Morris, Co-Founder, TrainSmart Ftiness
Randy Morris is the Co-Founder of TrainSmart Fitness, a full service fitness organization, which represent the culmination of Randy’s 25 years of fitness training and experience in Hawai’i. A native of South Carolina, and former All American Basketball player, Randy began his professional fitness training on Queens Beach in Waikiki. His fitness philosophy of quickly producing significant results while also creating a noticeable increase in quality of life, for novices and accomplished athletes alike, earned him a loyal following for nearly 20 years. In 2006, Randy co-founded Extreme Fitness Club, a not for profit youth sports organization, which focuses on sports specific training. His mission, as the Director of Extreme Fitness Club, has been to introduce athletic sport opportunities and elite coaching to as many young athletes in Hawai’i, as possible. The success of these two programs inspired Randy to create TrainSmart Fitness, a company whose mission is to provide facilities and programs which deliver a high level of fitness while also increasing quality of life to all age groups. His development of the S.M.A.R.T. fitness system, youth and senior based fitness education programs, and the development of his personal training program for elite youth athletes, has resulted in a company that represents Randy’s passion and commitment too the fitness industry. |
Matt Meko, Fitness Manager
Since 2000, Matt Meko has been a yoga teacher, group exercise instructor, and a personal trainer in Hawai’i, Los Angles, New York City, Seattle, Vancouver BC, and Santa Fe. Corporate accounts have included Microsoft, Amazon.com, Bank of America, and Starbucks. In Honolulu, Matt's clients include the Kahala Hotel & Resort, Moana Surfrider, and Bank of Hawai'i. Matt was voted one of the “Best of Honolulu 2013” by Honolulu Magazine for his stand-up paddleboard yoga workouts. Matt feels honored to assist people with their wellness. Bryon Gibbens
Bryon Gibbens is the owner of Dynamic Fitness which was started while he was living in Japan in 2004 working as the Program Director at the Tokyo American Club. The mission statement: to obtain optimal health and fitness using a mind and body balance approach. His 15 years of experience spanning from athletic training and physical therapy and special populations, to working with professional athletes, enables him to tailor each program to each individual. His love of food and fitness allows a frugal and fun approach that's centered on results. Bryon's specialties include sport specific training, core and body balance, injury rehabilitation, youth to senior fitness, and MMA conditioning. Li Si Yang
Li Si Yang is the owner of Journey to Fitness since 2002. She is also the creator of the “Fitness Pyramid©” training program, “Ball Therapy Express Kit” and inventor of the Fitness Cue®. Li Si specializes in corrective exercises that improve posture, flexibility, breathing, core and muscle activation. She has a way of breaking down and explaining a particular exercise to help clients better understand their own body. By improving posture and flexibility and strengthening our core, we can look and feel better and gain the knowledge to lead a strong, healthy and pain-free lifestyle. Lisa Stewart
Born and raised in Hawaii, Lisa Stewart has been in the health and fitness industry for over 20 years as a Registered Dietitian, Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. Lisa has toured the country with FiTOUR providing workshops on both sports nutrition and the use of martial arts in group fitness classes. She has had the wonderful opportunity to work with many types of clients, with an emphasis on high performance training for athletes. Using her experience with boxing, kickboxing and boot camp style exercises, she has assisted many clients in reaching their fitness goals. Lisa also specializes in land based training for surfers, helping them to take their performance to the next level. She assisted her clients in obtaining multiple world titles. Senior Fitness is also a passion of hers, with a focus on functional strength and flexibility. Lisa’s Philosophy: “Variety is the key to constant adaptation. Understanding that no one person is the same, I focus on making workouts challenging, yet fun for people from all ages and fitness levels. Focus + Commitment + FUN = Results!” On her free time, Lisa enjoys high intensity training, hiking, ocean activities and her family. Wendy Newman
Wendy Newman is a certified Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Instructor, and Licensed Massage Therapist with more than 10 years of experience in the field of health and fitness helping and coaching people to achieve a healthy life. Wendy is currently teaching cardio and strength classes at UFC BJ Penn Gym, 24 Hour Fitness, Honolulu Club, and for Bank of Hawaii and HMSA employees. Wendy specializes in empowering energetic and fun cardio workouts mixed with flexibility and strength-building exercises. You can also see Wendy in GILAD Elite Forces, Fat Burning Workout video.
